FAQs

  • Small cutting cakes are available with the purchase of additional sheet cake for your guests.

If you're planning to serve a store-bought cake to guests and only need something small from us, we're probably not the right fit. Every order gets the same care and collaboration regardless of size, and we want the investment to feel worthwhile on both sides!

  • Our decorated cakes start at $8.00 per serving, with a minimum investment of $400.

  • We offer convenient to-go tasting boxes, available for pickup from our kitchen in Riverside. After submitting your inquiry, we’ll be in touch to curate your tasting and schedule a pickup time.

Each tasting box is $50 and includes up to four cake flavors, four frostings, and four fillings. If you go on to book your wedding cake with us, that $50 will be credited toward your final balance.

  • Most clients book our services around 6 months before their event. We are unable to accommodate wedding cake orders with less than 4 weeks’ notice. To get started, contact us today.

  • Sculpted from a paste of powdered sugar, egg white, and a few hardening agents, sugar flowers are hyperrealistic recreations of real flowers.

Not only are they beautiful and completely customizable, they are also everlasting keepsakes. They will never spoil, wilt, or decay. Many clients choose to keep their sugar flowers even after the cake has been eaten, making them a unique and sentimental keepsake that can be kept on display for years to come.

  • We do not use fresh-cut flowers in our cakes, but we love incorporating food-safe florals like candied petals and dried edible flowers into our designs.

Why? Many popular blooms are toxic when consumed - lilies (all types), hydrangeas, wisteria, azaleas, daffodils, and foxglove among them. Even non-toxic species of fresh flowers come with risks: at best, a few unwelcome critters taking a stroll on your cake; at worst, exposure to insecticides, fertilizers, and pesticides that make them genuinely unsafe for food contact.

Prefer fresh flowers on your cake? We completely understand, and we're happy to hand this job off to your florist. They would be required to take full ownership of the floral application, with Dreamcakes released from any food safety liability. Just be sure to coordinate this plan with them ahead of your event!
